Augme Mobile AD LIFE
Augme Mobile is a platform that provides a means for companies to take advantage of the ever-increasing opportunities to reach their markets using mobile devices and cell phones. The technology used in the application included QR/Datamatrix barcodes and SMS tags as well as extensive use of methodologies to provide for properly formatted web pages to be displayed regardless of the device used to view them.
We were contacted to take over this project when it became apparent that the original developers were no longer able to extend or even maintain the codebase due to their lack of knowledge about CakePHP or basic Object Oriented Programming principles. After extensive refactoring and rewriting of the original application, CakeDC was not only able to get the site working in the manner Augme had envisioned, but we were also able to extend the functionality dramatically allowing Augme to provide the services their clients had requested but were previously unobtainable. This, in turn allowed Augme to pursue new clients with an aggressiveness that only the confidence in your application will give your sales team.
