Livesteez is an exciting social networking tool that pulls under one roof all the things that bring people together: current events, popular culture, personal tastes, and a love for expanding one's social circle. With a focus on the African American community, Livesteez combines a finger-on-the-pulse cultural awareness with interactivity that allows the user to share about him- or herself while networking within a diverse group of fellow Livesteez members.
The Livesteez platform, re-developed for 2009 using CakePHP version 1.2, gives a high degree of control to the site's administrators while also allowing user driven content to shape the site's tone and feel. The all new interface allows users to upload photos and short biographies in their personal profile, and then utilize their online presence to join common interest user communities, sound off about the topics that interest them, or simply browse the user database for new friends and contacts.
Our staff has consulted with the minds behind Livesteez to re-work their site for eminent release, with minimal down time for construction and maximal flexibility for new capabilities to be added at a later time. The new Livesteez.com will be home to a number of future applications and user interfaces, slated to roll out over the next 12 months.
