Before joining CakeDC, Jorge Gonzalez has had a wide experience in different positions, from development to consulting and management, allowing him to quickly understand client problems and provide effective solutions. He loves to code and support his team mates. He started using CakePHP many years ago, and never turned back, applying the framework to several projects and domains, specifically the hospitality and tourism sector, where he has been working for over 10 years before coming to the company. He is also the official CakePHP training instructor, for both the training courses as well as the CakeFest workshops.

You will join the elite team established by Larry Masters, the founder of CakePHP, and work side-by-side with other members to develop a variety of amazing, high profile projects.
Position Details:
- Remote working environment with an international team and clients

Technical Skills Needed:
- Expert knowledge of CakePHP
- 2+ years experience in web application development
- 2+ years experience in object-oriented analysis and design
- Familiarity with the Model-View-Controller pattern
- Experience with XHTML, XML, HTML 4/5, CSS 2/3, JavaScript and Ajax
- Experience with database design and implementation
- Experience with unit tests
Other Requirements:
- IT qualification or equivalent relevant experience
- Exceptional analytical aptitude and attention to detail
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills
- Good team player, who is self motivated and well organized
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Passionate about open-source, improving skills and sharing knowledge
Desired but not required:
- Experience with C++, Java, Objective-C, ActionScript
